Based in downtown Frederick, MD, Digital Bard’s team is strongly rooted in video production. Team members have backgrounds in television production, 2D motion graphics and animation, radio, film, illustration, graphics design, marketing, voice-overs and as on-camera talent.

Whitney Hahn: Co-owner and Business Manager
Whitney Hahn is the co-founder of Digital Bard. Her video production creativity has been recognized in several national awards competitions including the ADDY Awards, Telly Awards, Parent’s Choice Awards and Communicator Awards.
As a Certified Guerrilla Marketing Coach, Whitney helps clients get the most from their investment, suggesting low or no-cost strategies to maximize the impact of a campaign, online and off.
In her previous lives, Whitney has been a radio DJ, a TV show host (appearing on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” and Animal Planet) and the marketing director for a zoo.
A big picture person, Whitney designs the marketing strategy and video production plan with the client. She writes, speaks and coaches about the power of online video and integrated marketing campaigns.
She is a Mass Communications graduate from Towson University, and an Adjunct Professor at Frederick Community College.

Araminta Finn: Co-owner and Production Manager.
Araminta is a gifted videographer who excels at producing non-scripted shows – a niche typically made difficult because taping is live and unpredictable. Recently, Araminta oversaw such diverse projects as a 15-hour series of instructional DVD’s, training videos for a medical technologies group, a mini-documentary for an historic theater, demo videos for internationally known professional speakers and Telly award winning web-based promotional videos.
She brings an understanding of the complete production process with her to every project. Early work at GS Communications/ Adelphia Cable in Frederick, MD was consistently among the top watched on the local cable channel and included nationally award-winning “The Wild Life with Whitney Hahn” (natural sciences exploration), “Studio 10″ (live music), “Dining Out” (local fine dining) and “Behind the Scenes” (lively arts). She has a B.A. in Communications and Journalism from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.

Angela Ashbaugh: Concept Artist/Animator
Angela grew up knowing that she was meant to be an animator. Fueled by the art classes in high school, she traveled south to attend college in pursuit of her dream. After graduating from Savannah College of Art & Design with a BFA in animation in 2010, Angela spent a year freelancing in concept development. She has experience with an assortment of animation styles and has created a few logo designs. One of the designs is now a federally registered corporate trademark.
At Digital Bard, Angela brings a new approach on visuals to the team and provides a wider range of options for original illustrations, animations and artistic touches.
Rick Janssen: Production Specialist
Rick brings classic camera, editing and motion graphics skills to the team. Prior to relocating to Frederick, Rick obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Media Production (TV/Radio) from Kent State University in Kent, OH.
For over five years, he worked on a variety of internationally aired crafting shows including: Quilting Arts, Crafting at the Spotted Canary, Knitting Daily, and many more shows produced by Kathie Stull. He has also directed the live video feed for the Akron Aeros (minor league baseball).
Rick also has a strong musical background. He has written, produced, performed and engineered over 10 songs heard on FM radio stations in Northeast Ohio. One song was even featured in the Hollywood movie “Hanna’s Gold” starring Luke Perry. He has toured the country performing original music, and brings his wide variety of production and creative skills to the Digital Bard team.
