“Clue” theme gets animated for 2012 AAF-GF ceremony open

3D Modeling of “Tudor Mansion” was a video hit!

Digital Bard took the classic board game theme from “Clue” and turned into an animated video to welcome guests to the 2012 awards ceremony for the America Advertising Federation of Greater Frederick’s (AAF-GF) ADDY Awards. The awards ceremony was held February 25 at Musket Ridge Golf Club in Meyersville, MD

Created using a combination of 3D modeling, 2D motion graphics and lots of sound effects, the video features several local creative leaders in the roles of Suspects, and replaces the typical weapons with modern counterparts (i.e. a USB cable instead of a rope and an Exacto knife instead of a kitchen knife).

The video texture on this piece is so complex, it took about 30 minutes to computer render each frame of video. 3D Animator Aroon Baral was at the helm of this entertaining project, with graphics assistance from Concept Illustrator Angela Ashbaugh.
