Dance recitals leap into action

Multi-camera taping brings angles to the fluid action of dance

This year, Digital Bard was pleased to record dance recitals from six different studios across mid-Maryland, traveling to Hagerstown, Upper Marlboro and several stops in downtown Frederick. Each recital was filled with joy and creativity, as hundreds of dancers from 2 to 72, put on tap shows, ballet tights or hip-hop hoodies and lit up the stage.

We are deep into post-production now, taking the best shots from each camera angle and editing together a complete DVD of each show.  Credits, chapter markers and motion menus make the students feel like stars, and the DVDs become wonderful keepsakes of the shows.
