Celebrating the Bee’s Knees in Advertising!
The American Advertising Federation – Greater Frederick (AAF-GF) is celebrating their 25th anniversary this year and so of course that means that this year’s Awards Ceremony had to be extra special! This year’s theme centered around the roaring 20’s and the prohibition era. We celebrated the art of advertising in an atmosphere of jazz, glitz, and a little underground speakeasy to keep out of sight from the coppers (let’s see, just how much 20’s slang I can use here).
It was a night of cheering our friends with our glasses of hooch and while I’m on it, let me give another round of congratulations to all of the winners that evening! Not only that, but we walked away with a few awards ourselves, thanks to some wonderful collaboration opportunities with our friends at Worx Graphic Design and The Community Foundation of Frederick County.
She’s the berries!
The highlight of the event was the Crystal Prism Award. I had the pleasure and the honor to have the opportunity to nominate my boss and friend, Whitney Hahn, for this award. She contributes so much time and effort into the AAF-GF community and can always be counted on for energy and encouragement whenever it’s needed. It was an absolute delight to see the look of surprise on her face when she had been awarded the Crystal Prism that evening. I certainly think she’s the cat’s meow, and it goes to show – the community does too!
Thank you to all of the hard workers and volunteers who have made the 25 years in this organization what it has become today, and congratulations to all of the award winners!
